Maps

Today in class we talked took a few more notes which were
The international date line is....

  • Located at 180 degrees longitude
  • Position deviates from 180 degrees at times to accommodate various nearby nation- states
And then Mr. Schick gave us three maps that were blank and we had to label them. We labeled the equator, the seven continents(Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Australia, and Asia), the five oceans(Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, Southern, and Indian), the International Date Line, the Prime Meridian, the Tropic of Capricorn, the Tropic of Cancer, where are ancestors were from, and where John Carroll is. I was able to finish all three maps in class and it was kind of easy because we got to use the internet. But it was hard because I had never heard of the Tropic of Cancer, the Tropic of Capricorn, or the Prime Meridian. I did find it easy to label the equator, the seven continents, and the five oceans.
