Population and Settlement

Some notes that we took in the beginning of class were...

More People than ever!

• Over 7.5 billion people on the planet right now 
•  Increasing by over 73 billion per year 
• 8377 per hour 
• 2.5 per second 
• 90% of this population growth takes place in the developing countries of Africa, South and East Asia, and Latin America

For the rest of class we talked about how the growth of the earths population is not good because there will be too many people in so many years that supplies and resources will become limited. We also talked about how in many countries and places there isn't clean water, like in Haite there isn't clean water so they drink dirty water which causes disease. Jason also talked in class a lot about China because it is the most populated country in the world so he talked about how many kids a family can have and if you have a girl then you can try again to try to have a boy. And then we talked more about how the increase of the population can change the world.
